Mt. Auburn- Stanley W. Price, 96, passed away on Friday evening July 19, 2013 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. A son of the late Millard "Steve" and Alice (Bennett) Price, Stanley was born in Foster, Ohio on January 17, 1917. Stanley moved to the Dublin community in 1924 at started an auto salvage business there in 1928. Stanley retired from AVCO in Richmond after 34 years of service and operated the salvage yard until his son Larry took over the business. Stanley served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was honorably discharged with the rank of staff sergeant on October 27, 1945. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, the former Maxine Campbell. They were married in Liberty, Indiana on May 27, 1950. 2 sons, Terry L. (Kathy) of Richmond and Perry D. (Tina) of Bentonville; 6 granddaughters, April, Rachel, Jessica and Kendall Price, Sarah Ryan and Lindsay Schweizer; 6 great granddaughters, Dakotah and Madison Durham, Savannah Foltz, Isabelle Lopez, Emma Conner and Lilly Ryan. Stanley was preceded in death by his son, Larry D. Price on December 16, 2008; granddaughter, Natalie Price; 2 sisters, Irene Weilenman and Rose Beck; 3 brothers, Paul, Phillip and Russell Price; half brother, Walter Shank. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at noon on Tuesday July 23, 2013 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Chris Sitler will officiate. Burial will follow at the South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
