Stiens

Ruth (Heaston) Sharp Stiens, 93, daughter of the late Raymond and Loretta (Favorite) Heaston, was born October 4, 1929 in Jacksonburg, Indiana. Ruth married Lester Sharp on June 26 in 1948 and he preceded her in death June 29, 1970. She married her second husband, Robert Stiens on August 2, 1981 in Lynn, Indiana and he preceded her in death June 29,1998.
Ruth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cambridge City. She enjoyed gardening in her flower beds, feeding the squirrels and spoiling her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by her three children, David (wife Barbara) Sharp of Cambridge City, Michael (fiancée Debra Hufty) Sharp of Lafayette, and Jewell (husband Stanford) Ohms of Carmel. She is also survived by one brother, Charles (wife Janet) Heaston of Richmond; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many, many, many nieces and nephews.
Along with her two husbands, she is also preceded in death by brothers, Frank Heaston, Raymond Heaston and Walter Heaston; sisters, Beulah Chapman, Anna Richardson, Doris Harding, Emma Mustard, Laverne Williams, Freda Kellenbarger, and Stella Usher and by one great-grandson Jonathon Marshall.
Visitation will be at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Saturday December 3, 2022. Rev. Doug Shiltz will officiate. Burial will follow at Zion's Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing.
