CAMBRIDGE CITY- Ruth Louise Chapman-Feemster, 93, passed away Tuesday evening November 22, 2016 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle, Indiana. A daughter of the late Russell D. and Neva M. (Chambers) Chapman, Ruth was born in Richmond, Indiana on September 14, 1923. She has lived her entire life in the Cambridge City community and was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1941. A homemaker, Ruth had also worked as a bookkeeper for several area businesses including the Paul Casket Company. Ruth was a member of the Zion's Lutheran Church in Pershing and was the leader of several bible study groups. She was also a member of the Psi Ota Xi Sorority. Ruth enjoyed playing Bridge and going to the Golay Center. She learned to swim there when she was sixty years old, and went on to help with their handicap aquatics program and also attended the water aerobics class. Survivors include her 2 children, Deborah F. Gettinger and David Mark Feemster both of Cambridge City; 2 cousins, Richard G. Morris and Dean Worl. Ruth was preceded in death by her 2 grandsons, Matthew Alan Gettinger on October 25, 1990 and Adam Allison Gettinger on September 18, 2000. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at Zion's Lutheran Church in Pershing. Pastor Jerry Mielke will officiate. Burial will follow at the Zion's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Monday November 28th at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.
