NEW CASTLE- Russell C. "Conman" Conn, 69, passed away on Tuesday February 10, 2015 at the Henry County Hospital in New Castle, Indiana. Russell was born in New Castle, Indiana on March 23, 1945. A life long New Castle resident, Russell graduated from Chrysler High School with the class of 1963 and served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. Russell worked as a tool and die maker for Chrysler Corp. and retired after 31 years of service. He also operated a motorcycle repair business and enjoyed buliding bikes. Survivors include his wife, the former Rhonda S. Wilson. They were married in New Castle on October 10, 2008; 2 children, Larry and Mindy Conn; 2 step children, Jeremy and Heather Moffitt all of New Castle; 5 grandchildren; his mother, Pat (Wilson) Watkins of Anderson; 4 siblings, Terry Conn of Muncie, Jerry Conn and Sherry Conn both of Anderson, Bobby Conn of Kentucky. Russell was preceded in death by his father, Donald Conn and a brother, Roger Conn. Following cremation, visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. on Monday February 16, 2015 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Pastor Bill Palmer will officiate. Burial with military honors provided by Lawrence H. Bertsch American Legion Post 169 will follow at the South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
