NEW LISBON- Ruby T. Huffman, 94, passed into heavenly peace on Friday April 30, 2021.  She has been residing at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle, Indiana for the past two years, previously a resident of New Lisbon for the past twenty years.  A daughter of the late Shade and Myrtie (Bates) Crabtree,  Ruby was born in Slat, Wayne County, Kentucky on January 29, 1927.  Ruby married the love of her life, Albert "Pap" Huffman, on August 28, 1946. She was a homemaker her entire life and worked hard at making a house a home and raising their eight children.  In her leisure, Ruby enjoyed watching soap operas.

Survivors include 8 children, Helen Hacker of St. Cloud, FL, Donald (Debbie) Huffman, and Ronald (Lana) Huffman of Morristown, Gerald and Gary Huffman of New Castle, Wanda (Bill) Witham of Lewisville, Paul (Carol) Huffman of New Lisbon and Jeff (Nancy) Huffman of Brownsburg; 24 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Albert "Pap" Huffman on November 20, 2013; 2 sisters; 6 brothers.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday May 5, 2021 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel.  Pastor Gerald Holmes will officiate.  Burial will follow at New Lisbon Cemetery.
