Richmond- Ruby Catherine Day, 57, passed away on Wednesday April 1, 2009 at her home in Richmond after a brief illness. A daughter of the late Joe and Glenna Irene Phillips Parms, Ruby was born in Burr, Kentucky on May 20, 1951. She has made her home in Richmond since 1968 when she moved here from Berea, Kentucky. She had worked as an attendant for Achieva Resources before becoming ill. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Terry L. Day. They were married in Kentucky on May 8, 1969; 3 sons, Terry Gary and Tony Day of Richmond; 7 grandchildren; 1 brother, Earl Parm; 2 half sisters, Linda Nicholson of Richmond and Patty of Indianapolis; 2 half brothers, Ricky and Wilbur Ruble of Kentucky. 2 half brothers, Carl and Russell Ruble also preceded her in death. Following cremation, services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
