DUNKIRK- Rose Brown, 76, of rural Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away on Monday morning December 5, 2011 at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A daughter of the late Joseph Lynn and Mary (Munsy) Lynn-Bryant, Rose was born in Lenoir City, Tennessee on March 2, 1935. Formerly of the Dublin/Cambridge City area, Rose has made her home in the Dunkirk community for over 40 years. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Rose enjoyed spending time with her family and being around people. Known as "Miss Rose" by her co-workers, she retired from the Portland Wal Mart in 2010 after 15 years of service. An avid BINGO player, Rose was also a lifetime member of the Albany Golf Club. Survivors include her husband Dale F. Brown, whom she married in Cambridge City on February 11, 1956; 6 children, Penny (Jeff) Raver of Marion, Kathy (Mike) Lawhorn of Hartford City, Fred (Toni) Brown of Chicago, Kelli (Leroy) Billman of Fredericktown, Ohio, Melissa (Evan) Burleson of Westerville, Ohio and Jim (Christy) Brown of Portland; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Naomi Doty of Cambridge City; nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Kellie Bryant; 4 siblings, Maxine Lynn, Mary Smith, Irene Marshall and James Lynn; son in-law, David P. Winters Jr. A Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday December 8, 2011 at the Williamson-Spencer Funeral Home, 190 S. Union Street/ Pennville, IN 47369. A second visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services at 6 p.m. on Friday December 9 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, 1993 Cumberland Street/ Dublin, IN 47335. Son in-law Jeff Raver will officiate. Following cremation, burial will be at the Westside Cemetery in Milton. Memorial Contributions can be made to Riley Childrens Foundation, 30 S.
