MILTON- Ronald "Squeek" Eugene Southerland Sr., 80, of Milton, Indiana, passed away in the evening hours at his home on Monday March 18th, 2024. A lifelong resident of the Western Wayne Community, he was born in Cambridge City on September 23rd, 1943, to Charles Fayette and Mary Catherine (Longnecker) Southerland. He met the love of his life the former, Cynthia Kay "Cindy" Leonard, and they were married at the Friends Church in Dublin on July 15th, 1989. He had worked at Philco Ford and owned/operated Southerland's Garage in Dublin for over 30 years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed trains, watching drag racing, and traveling with his wife.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Cindy Southerland; three children, Susan Schrader, Ronnie Southerland Jr, Amy Barnard; grandchildren, Amber, Josh, Ean, Logan, Cole, Alex, and Meagan; and fifteen great-grandchildren; and two stepchildren, Donyel, and Derrek DeBruler; one brother, David Southerland; former daughter in-law, Sherry Southerland; and many nieces and nephews.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Linda Clark.

Ronald wished to be memorialized privately. Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with Ronald's cremation.
