PERSHING - Ronald Frederick Turner Sr., 83, passed away on Friday afternoon September 7, 2018 at his home in Pershing with his family at his side. Ronald was born in Richmond, Indiana on July 9, 1935. He attended high school in Richmond and Eaton, Ohio. Ronald traveled throughout the country as a young boy with his father. He met the love of his life, Lorena Jane Morse, whom he married at the Jacksonburg Christian Church on April 7, 1956 and has made his home in Pershing for the past 56 years. Ronald was a devoted family man. He had been President of the New Castle Model Plane Club and enjoyed riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, collectin guns shooting and square dancing in his leisure time. He lived a happy-happy life. Ronald was a welder and worked for Chore Boy in Cambridge City for 43 years.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lorena Jane Turner; 5 children, Ronald F. (Miranda) Turner Jr. of Nulltown, Mark S. Turner of Eaton, OH, Tonya L. (Jeff) Riggle of Cambridge City, Katrina J. Turner of Pershing and Jolena M. (Tony) Potter of Cambridge City; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; 1 great-great grandchild; a ½ brother and a ½ sister, Patricia (Darrell) Schuerman of Richmond.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Harold Frederick Turner; his mother, Winifred Pauline (Duckworth) Turner-Odom.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at noon on Tuesday September 11, 2018 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will follow at Zion's Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing.
