Cambridge City- Ronald W. "Ron" Bromley Sr., 64, passed away on Tuesday July 12, 2011 at the Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana after an extended illness. A son of the late Ira and Clara (Juckett) Bromley, Ronald was born in Michigan City, Indiana on February 18, 1947. Ron has lived in the Cambridge City community and most recently Richmond since 1993. While living in Michigan City he had worked for the City's refuse department. Locally he was employed by Rogers Engineering, MEG and Miller Dairy . A cowboy at heart, Ron enjoyed riding horses, camping and fishing. He also liked to entertain people as an Elvis impersonator. A member of the Cambridge City Christian Church, Ron was very proud of his Christian faith and his church family. Survivors include his wife, the former Delight Kay Crawford, whom he married in Manchester, Tennessee on September 26, 1980; 6 children, Ronald, William and Sheila Bromley all of Illinois, Susie Huffman of Winchester, Michael Paul Stomm of Hagerstown and Samantha Gentry of Findley, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Lester Bromley of Michigan City; 2 sisters, Clara Jones of Manchester, TN and Betty Bromley of Michigan City; brother- inlaw, Paul Crawford of Florida; 2 sisters-inlaw, Diana Combs of Richmond and Marilyn Davis of Lunenburg, MA. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. on Friday July 15, 2011 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
