KNIGHTSTOWN - Robert Carl Wooldridge, 82, of Knightstown went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 10, 2015 following an extended illness. Bob was born on June 12, 1933 to the late George Carl and Lavon (Short) Wooldridge. He married the former Janice C. Brumfield on April 25, 1953. Bob was a 1952 graduate of Raleigh High School. He worked for Schnadig, formerly International Funiture, in Rushville for 36 years and farmed for 32 years. He retired from farming in 2001. In his leisure, Bob enjoyed gardening, playing and watching basketball especially I.U., and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years Janice Wooldridge; 3 sons, Norman (Terri) Wooldridge of Knightstown, Jeff Wooldridge of New Castle, Steven Wooldridge of Knightstown; 2 daughters, Sondra (Richard) Query of Dunreith, Pamela Wooldridge of Knightstown; 7 grandchildren, Rob Wooldridge of Rushville, Chrissy Wooldridge of Knightstown, Ronald (Nicole) Wooldridge of Rushville, Tara (Johnathan) Baker of Knightstown, Kyle Query (companion Erica and her daughter, Meleah) of Greenfield, Kaleb Query of Dunreith, Alexis Wooldridge of New Castle; 5 great-grandchildren, Taylor & Kadence Baker, Natalie, Levi and Colton Wooldridge; siblings Connie (Paris) Cross of Mays, John (Joanne) Wooldridge of Lewisville, Richard (Diana) Wooldridge of Knightstown, Larry Wooldridge of Mexico. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters; 2 brothers. Honoring Bob's wishes for cremation, a celebration of life will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, 115 W Hwy 40, Lewisville, Indiana 47352. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
