RICHMOND- Robert Lee Barrett, 80, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday evening May 10, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A son of the late Lucian and Lillian (Remley) Barrett, Robert was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 15, 1945. He grew up in Union County and graduated from Short High School with the class of 1964. Bob married his high school sweetheart, the former Connie Shepler, on April 16, 1965, and made their home in Richmond. He worked for the City of Richmond in the traffic division and retired after forty-four years of service. Bob was a craftsman and could build or repair anything. He worked hard all his life and was always there to lend a helping hand to his friends and family. He enjoyed fixing up “hot rods” and working outside in his yard. In his leisure, Bob enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and taking trips with his wife Connie.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Connie Barrett; 2 children, Melissa (Ernie) Albertson and Brian Lee (Angela) Barrett; 3 granddaughters, Ashley VanMeter, Harley Herriman and Alexis Boswell; 8 great grandchildren, Bentlee, Wade, Emilee, Owen, Breeze, Ravyn, Riyah and Annabelle. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers.

Private services are planned with burial at Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville.
