NEW CASTLE- Rita Fay Swartz, 67, passed away late Tuesday night March 1st, 2022, at Henry Community Health, New Castle, Indiana. Rita was born to John Lester and Lillie Pearl (Jones) Ragan on March 17th, 1954, in New Castle. She was raised in the New Lisbon community and attended New Lisbon Christian Church. Rita married her then husband and moved to Anderson where she lived for more than 50 years. Rita worked in area restaurants prior to working at K-mart from where she retired after many years of service. She thoroughly enjoyed spending her time crafting, painting saw blades, playing euchre and other games.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents and special friend Mark Hiday.

Rita is survived by her son, Mark (Patricia) Swartz of Anderson; two step-grandchildren, Rachel Gilman and William Scott; brother, Dennis (Pauline) Ragan of New Lisbon; sister, Ruth Huffman of Farmland; and many nieces and nephews.

Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of family, Rev. Mark Lomison will officiate. Burial will be at New Lisbon Cemetery.
