DUBLIN - Rickey Chester Dungan, 64, of Dublin passed away at 8:20 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Flat Rock River Lodge in Rushville. He was born in New Castle, Indiana on March 11, 1948 to Marvin D. and Juanita (Burris) Dungan. Rickey was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln High School in Cambridge City. He served in the United States Air Force as a load master during the Vietnam War. After receiving a honorable discharge, he worked as a truck driver and resided in Clearwater, Florida. Rickey enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a longtime member of the Cambridge City Church of the Nazerene and the American Legion. Survivors include his mother Juanita of Dublin; two brothers, Timothy Allan Dungan of Romance Arkansas, Douglas Darrell Dungan of Pacific, Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. Penny Jo (David) Lanning of Rushville, Linda Wright of Rushville; two aunts, Maxine Fiedler of Rushville, Welma Hughes of Connersville; several nieces and nephews. Rickey was preceded in death by his father on May 31, 2005 and his sister, Mrs. Linda (Ernie) Taylor on February 8, 2008. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery, Dublin. Visitation will be on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
