Rickey Lynn "Rick" Drake

CONNERSVILE- Rickey Lynn “Rick” Drake, 70, passed away early Saturday morning April 4, 2026, at Majestic Care in Connersville, Indiana. Rickey was born in New Castle, Indiana on January 14, 1956, and attended school in Straughn. Formerly of Henry County, Dublin and Cambridge City, Rick has made his home in Connersville for several years. He worked as a floor covering and carpet installer. In his leisure, Rick enjoyed being outdoors and fishing.

Survivors include 2 children- daughter, Jackie Drake and son, Christopher Drake; 9 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Alvona (Buddy) Miller and Debbie (Don) Strahl; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew and friend, Roy and Marla Fugate.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Carroll Max “Bud” Drake; mother, Helen (Robinson) Austin; son, Sean Drake; siblings, Marlene Merkamp, Carroll Max “Joe” Drake Jr. and Danny Drake.

Following cremation, Graveside Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday April 10, 2026, at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
