CAMBRIDGE CITY - Richard Harold Stephenson, 86, of Cambridge City passed away Sunday morning June 16, 2013 at the Greentree-Samara Assisted Living Center in Indianapolis. Richard was born in Muncie, Indiana on April 17, 1927 to the late Roy and Clarice (Collins) Stephenson. Formerly of Anderson, Richard has lived in the Cambridge City community for over 30 years. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On November 8, 1975 he married the former Phyllis Louise Nafe in Cambridge City. Richard enjoyed collecting, buying, restoring and showing antique cars, was a member of Cambridge City Church of Christ, Vintage Car Club in Richmond, Indiana and a past member of the Dublin Town Board. Survivors include 2 daughters, Stephanie "Kate" Henson and Melanie Smith both of Anderson; 2 step-sons, Steve (Cindy) Newton of Lafayette, David (Lona) Newton of Indianapolis; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial with military honors will follow at South Lawn Cemetery, Dublin.
