LEWISVILLE - Richard L. "Dick" Cronk, 88, of Lewisville passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. He was born on June 6, 1926 in New Castle to Ralph and Violet (Fisher) Cronk. Richard served his country in the United States Navy as an Assistant Gunners Mate during World War II. On March 2, 1947 he married the former Marianna Fowler in Lewisville. Together they made their home in Lewisville and for many years Richard was an agent for the Western Southern Insurance Company. He was a member of the Lewisville Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Young People's Group, New Castle VFW, and a lifetime member of the Free & Accepted Masons Lodge #72 in Lewisville. Richard enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, traveling with the New Life Trio and in later years on bus tours. Survivors include two sons, Mark (Beverly) Cronk and Tim (JoAnn) Cronk all of New Castle; grandchildren, Tony Cronk, Amy (Chris) Bell, Corey Cronk, Ashley Wright, Travis (Cara) King, Shaylee (Troy) Gibbs; 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nell Ramey of Brazil, Indiana; nieces, Suzanne Cronk of Madison, Indiana, Kenna Pell of St. Croix. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marianna on January 30, 2013; brother, Fred Cronk; sister-in-law, Helen Cronk; brother-in-law, Ken Ramey; nephew, Chris Ramey. Family and friends may gather from 5:00 p.m. until the time of Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Lewisville Presbyterian Church. Rev. Peter Zinn and Rev. Arthur Whitaker will officiate. Burial will follow at Lewisville Cemetery.
