Rex C. Wesley, went home to heaven on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at home in Alexandria, Kentucky with his wife Elizabeth at his side. He was born on July 13,1936 in Lewisville, Indiana to the late Clarence and Flonnie (Jasper) Wesley. Rex lived the majority of his life in Indiana until he moved to Kentucky in September of 2015. He was a 1952 graduate of Lewisville High School. After graduation, Rex served in the Marine Corps. The adage "Once a Marine, always a Marine" became part of his life. After leaving the Marines, he drove a semi-truck all across the United States then later retired from road construction. He and Elizabeth celebrated 31 years of marriage on January 27th of this year. Rex attended New Castle Foursquare Church until he moved to Kentucky. There he attended Alexandria First Assembly of God Church. Rex enjoyed doing puzzles, watching birds, singing, staying active and the fellowship of his church families.

Rex is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Hedrick) Wesley; children, Amy (Kevin) Sterrett of Fort Thomas, KY, Jenny (Tom) Weaver of Fort Wayne, IN, Laurie (Gene) McArthur of Mississippi and son Dennis Wesley of Louisiana; his sister, Betty Youst of New Castle; his sister-in law, Janet (Pickering) Wesley of Lewisville. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Jonathon (Alanna) Weaver, Chandler Sterrett, Hannah Weaver and Ciera Sterrett. Rex is preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Proffit and brother, Ronnie Wesley.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 10th at New Castle Foursquare Church, 3200 S. 14th Street, New Castle, IN 47362. Visitation hours for family are from 11am – 12pm, public visitation is from 12pm – 2pm with funeral services immediately following. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dive College Scholarship, c/o Foursquare Church.
