NEW CASTLE- Raymond Wayne Fairchild, 58, passed away Monday evening August 22, 2016 at his home in New Castle, Indiana. A lifelong New Castle resident, Raymond was born here on November 25, 1957. He was a graduate of Chrysler High School and had worked twenty five years at Commercial Vinyl as a machine operator. Raymond enjoyed spending his time with his family, especially his six granddaughters. Survivors include 3 sons, J.D. (Cyndi) Fairchild of Rustburg, VA, Matthew (Krista) Fairchild and Robert (Rebecca) Fairchild both of New Castle; 6 granddaughters, Jordan and Logan Powers, Ashley, Robbie, Macy and Autumn Fairchild; his mother, Ethel (Doss) Fairchild of Lewisville; 2 sisters, Brenda Nicholas of Lewisville and Rebecca Vitatoe of Florida; nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Denver Fairchild and 1 sister, Linda Fairchild. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 7 p.m. on Friday August 26, 2016 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel.
