Richmond: Ray Eugene Davis, 90, of Richmond, passed away on Saturday August 6, 2011 at his home. A son of the late George and Mary (Gay) Davis, Ray was born in Hagerstown, IN on March 24, 1921. Ray attended Mooreland School and served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Ray retired in 1985 from the Richmond State Hospital, soon after he moved to Arizona for 15 years, then moved back to the Centerville, Richmond area in 2004. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann (McGee) Davis of Richmond; son, George (Denise) Davis of California; 3 daughters, Carol (Butch) Monroe of Richmond, Emagene (Mondo) Maynes of Louisiana and Dona Jean Axler of Texas, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Janieve Newman of Mooreland. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; son, Paul Davis; 3 brothers, Lynn, Roy and Lewis Davis; 2 sisters, Madge Camberland and Geneva Williams. No services are planned at this time.
