DUBLIN- Queeney Marie Wooten, 79, passed away Saturday morning November 21, 2009 at the Waters of Princeton, Indiana where she has lived for the past few months. A daughter of the late Willie F. and Mary Clark Smith, she was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on April 16, 1930. She has made her home in Dublin since 1965 and had worked in several area restaurants including Miller's Cafeteria. Queeney was well known for her delicious chilli and chicken and noodles. She was a member of the Lawrence H. Bertsch American Legion Post 169 Womens Auxillary in Cambridge City. Survivors include 1 sister, Maxie Atwood of Milton; several nieces and nephews. Queeney was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Clifford Wooten on December 9, 1994. They were married in Nashville, Tennessee on July 21, 1977. 3 brothers, Charlie, Felix and Jack Smith; 6 sisters, Ruth Cameron, Tennessee Northern, Helen Madden, Catherine, Effie and Nellie Smith. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till the time of services at 1 p.m. on Tuesday November 24, 2009 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will follow at the South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
