KNIGHTSTOWN - Paul M. Smalley, 85, formerly of Knightstown, passed away late Wednesday evening, February 17, 2016 at Heritage House of New Castle. He was born in Knightstown on January 23, 1931 to the late Mervin William and Alice F. (Peters) Smalley. Paul was a 1949 graduate of Knightstown High School and served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Knightstown Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah Witness. Survivors include his daughters, Lynn (Charles) Wilson of Columbus, Ohio, Brenda Jean (Bob) Oeff of Knightstown; son, Jason Smalley of Indianapolis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, John (Jody) Smalley of Anderson; nephew, Dennis (Elizabeth) White of Knightstown. Paul was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Ann Danner Zimmerman, Mildred Thompson. In honor of Paul's wishes, following cremation there will be no funeral service.
