MILTON- Paul E. "Rhoadie" Rhoades, 76, of rural Milton, passed away on Wednesday December 17, 2014 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. The only child of the late Byron and Florence (Andrews) Rhoades, Paul was born in Muncie, Indiana on September 20, 1938. Paul graduated from Muncie Central High School and enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood working and his pets. He especially enjoyed Craig Johnson's "Longmire" book and T.V. series. Paul was a former member of the Fayette County Archery Club and member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Paul moved to the Cambridge City area from Michigan City in 1962 when he began working at M & D and retired from MEG in 2008 where he was a drafting engineer. Survivors include 4 children, Richard (wife,Pam) Rhoades of Clearmont, WY, David (companion,Chris Lemon) Rhoades of Richmond, Cindy Rhoades of Milton and Kim (companion, Dave) Rhoades-Martinez of Longmont, CO; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; cousin, Ray (wife, Ann) Beers of Baltimore, MD. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, the former Darlene "Dee Dee" Deck on December 23, 2005. They were married in Cambridge City on April 15, 1978; infant daughter Patricia Rhoades and granddaughter, Catrina Rhoades. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday December 22, 2014 at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Cambaridge City. Fr. Joseph Rautenberg will officiate. Burial will follow at the Bentonville Cemetery. Rosary service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday December 21st followed with visitatioin until 6 p.m. at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.
