MILTON - Paul D. Moffitt, 63, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 9, 2014 after an extended illness. He was born on January 27, 1951, the 7th of nine children, to Morton Moffitt and Alice (Darling) Moffitt-Mitchem in New Castle. Paul attended the Church of God in Connersville, and enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, spending time with his wife, family and his precious pet Lexee. Survivors include his mother; wife, the former Velvet Carr whom he married on August 24, 1991; daughters, Lucinda (Tony) Maiden, Paula Moffitt; grandchildren, Anthony Moffitt, Faith & Grace Maiden; siblings, Dorthea (Phil) Mullin, Frances Pickett, Gloria (Marion) Pickett, Frank (Mickey) Moffitt, Alta Roach, Roy (Amy) Moffitt, Joe (Robin) Moffitt, Susie Moffitt; several nieces, nephews and extended family. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. Kenneth Rider will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Cambridge City. Family and friends may gather from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the funeral home.
