STRAUGHN- Patricia E. Roberson, 87, of rural Straughn, passed away on Wednesday evening February 7th, 2024, at Willows of New Castle, Indiana. The daughter of the late Glenn C. and Evelyn (Dora) Poer, Patricia was born in Washington Township, Rush County, Indiana on March 30th, 1936, and lived there and southern Henry County most of her lifetime. Patricia graduated from Raleigh High School with the class of 1953. Following high school, she worked for the Rush County Farm Bureau Co-op and retired from Public Service Indiana (Duke Energy) in New Castle, after twenty-six years of employment. Patricia was a faithful member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder, Deacon, church treasurer, Sunday School Superintendent, and on various committees. She was currently attending the Bentonville-Ebenezer Christian Church.

Survivors of Patricia include her daughter, Melissa A. (Randy) Caylor of rural Lewisville; two grandchildren, Jacob R. (Danielle) Caylor of Celina, Ohio, and Jena L. Caylor of Lewisville; sister, Ruth Elaine Rodenburg of rural Brownsville; three great-granddaughters, Anna K., Adalyn P., and Alexys C. Caylor; one great-grandson, Gus Shostle; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-nine years, John "Dode" Roberson on July 13th, 2008; and one sister, Betty J. Westover on December 14th, 2008.

Visitation will be held on Monday February 12th, 2024, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. at Bentonville-Ebenezer Christian Church, 7495 E. County Road 1200 N.- Lewisville, IN 47352. Pastor Douglas Bradburn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
