Obituary

SPICELAND- Patricia Ann Magee, 69, passed away Sunday evening October 2, 2011 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. A daughter of the late Richard Borden and Alice (Bondurant) Borden Phelps, Patricia was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on September 1, 1942. Patricia graduated from Bluefield High School and received her Graduate Nursing Degree from Johnson Memorial School of Nursing in Abington, Virginia. She has lived in the Spiceland community since 1964 and had worked at the New Castle Clinic and the Henry County Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed doing cross stitch, was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She had attended the Friends Church in Grant City and Raysville. Survivors include her husband, Charles M. "Charlie" Magee. They married in Abington, Virginia on December 5, 1964; 3 children, Amy Magee of Spiceland, Greg Magee of Indianpolis and Lisa Rains of New Castle; 1 granddaughter, Emily Davis of New Castle; 2 great grandchildren, Annabelle and Hayden Davis; granddog, Camo; 1 sister, Jean (Jim) Christian of Sunbury, Ohio; 1 brother, Bert Borden of Lewisville; nieces and nephews, Katie Christian of Westerville, Ohio, Chris Christian of Sunbury, Ohio, Eric (Barb) Carr of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Sandy (James) York of Muncie; several great nieces and great nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her nephew Joey Borden. A celebration of Patricia's life will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday October 6, 2011 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville. Patricia's daughter Amy will conduct the service. Burial will follow at the Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday October 5 at the funeral home.
