New Castle - Christine Paul, 87, of New Castle, passed away at her home on Saturday morning October 16, 2010. The daughter of the late William Jefferson " Jeff" and Cora (Hensley) Williams, Christine was born on May 16, 1923 in Monterey, Tennessee. She and her husband A.B. Paul lived north of Dublin on a dairy farm before moving to New Castle in 1958. Christine retired in 2001 as a food service worker for the New Castle School Corperation after 26 years of service. Surviving relatives include; 3 grandchildren- John Raines of Orlando, FL, Charles "Chuck" Raines and Michael Raines both of Cincinnati, OH; 2 great-grandchildren- Ashlee Washington and Isaiah Raines; sister- Irene Bush of San Antonio, TX; 2 step-daughters- Neva Burns of Troy, Ohio and Nancy Rich of Connersville. Preceded in death by her husband Arvil B. "A.B." Paul on August 1, 1991. They were married on April 7, 1945 in Knoxville, Tennessee; daughter Wanda Kay Raines on July 31, 2005; 9 siblings, James, Buster, Ray, Jeff Jr , Reba Nell Mattie and infant Williams, Kathleen Harrell, Dorothy Elrod. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. on Wednesday October 20, 2010 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. Phil Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
