CAMBRIDGE CITY - Nancy Elaine Longnecker, 82, passed away at her home on Thursday afternoon April 27, 2023. A daughter of the late James Edward and Ruby Fern (Rudisell) Longnecker, Nancy was born in Wayne County, Indiana on March 10, 1941. A lifelong resident of the Cambridge City community, she graduated from Lincoln High School. Nancy had worked for Fowler Automatic Vending before her employment at Henry County Hospital in the medical records department. She retired from there in 2003 after 32 years of service. Nancy spent her life doing for others, she had no children of her own but was a mother to all her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling and will be missed by many. Nancy was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union, in Dublin, where she served as a board member, treasurer and Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include 6 siblings, Bill (Janice) Longnecker, Dick Longnecker, John (Lisa) Longnecker, Christal Henderson, Linda Cline and Tom (Donna) Longnecker; several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Cassie Lynch, Edward "Red" and Robert "Bob" Longnecker; long-time very special friend, Andrew Suttles.

Nancy's funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday May 1st , 2023, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Reverend Mark Acree will be officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday April 30th.
