LEWISVILLE- Merrill S. McBride, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning May 17, 2017. A son of the late Marion and Mable (Martin) McBride, Merrill was born in Connersville, Indiana on June 2, 1929. He was raised in the Lewisville community and graduated from Lewisville High School with the class of 1948. He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on April 25, 1957. Merrill and his wife Jeannette founded the House of Prayer Ministries and Harvest Youth Camp. Together they pastored two churches, one in Indianapolis and the other in Lewisville. He retired from formal ministry in 1995.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Andrea (David) Miller of Arlington and Sherie McBride of Florence, AL; three grandchildren, Cassie (Chance) Landreth, Dalton and Cammi Miller; 2 great grandchildren, Tempi and Kadi; nieces and nephews.

Merrill was preceded in death by his brother Marvin McBride, and his wife, the former, Loretta Jeanette Richey. They were married in New Castle on May 22, 1960.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday May 20, 2017 at the Lewisville House of Prayer, 9630 S. 25 W. Lewisville, IN 47352. Pastor Gary McCaslin will officiate. Burial will follow at the Lewisville Cemetery.
