MILTON- Mattie Elizabeth (Limburg) Riggle, 88, of Milton, Indiana passed away peacefully at her home while surrounded by her family late Tuesday night August 16th, 2022. Mattie was born in Loudon, Tennessee, on December 13th, 1933, the only child of Hobert and Eva (Caudle) Limburg. Mattie and her parents moved to Indiana when she was three years old and was raised on a farm east of Milton. She graduated from Milton High School with the class of 1952. Mattie met the love of her life, Gerald Wayne Riggle, whom she married in Milton on October 3rd, 1953. She was a devoted mother and wife. As a homemaker, Mattie enjoyed sewing, making costumes for her children and cheerleading uniforms for her daughter and the other girls on the cheerleading squad, quilting, and crocheted afghans.

Mattie is survived by her five children, Steven Wayne (Pam) of Richmond, Jeff A. (Tonya) of Cambridge City, Randy L. (Connie) of Dublin, Mark D. (Julie) of Mount Auburn, and Kim A. (Gary) Newton of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mattie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald (Feb. 27th, 2005); newborn infant son, Paul Riggle (Sept. 29. 1954); daughter in-law, April Ann (Moistner) Riggle (May 12th, 2009); and infant granddaughter, Lauren Michelle Riggle (Feb. 9th, 1990).

Visitation for Mattie Riggle will be held on Sunday, August 21st, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. with Funeral Services to follow on Monday, August 22nd, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Daryl Bertram officiating at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.
