Obituary

CAMBRIDGE CITY- Mary L. Moore, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon August 13, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Richmond, Indiana. A daughter of the late Raymond G. and Emma F. (Risch) Fink, Mary was born in Cambridge City, Indiana on November 11, 1934. A lifelong Cambridge City resident, Mary attended Lincoln High School. Mary was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Mary was married to the late Ceber O. Moore in the rectory of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church on July 29, 1950. The priest would not take the honorarium for performing the wedding ceremony, so Ceber and Mary took the five dollars, purchased a watermelon and enjoyed it on the swinging bridge at the park with their best man and maid of honor. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Survivors include 2 children, Daryl (fiancee' Jontae) Moore of Cambridge City and Teresa (Dennis) Ammerman of Anna, Ohio; grandchildren, Shane Moore, Heather Atkinson, Stacy Mendoza, LeeAnn Slife and Christopher Ammerman; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great- great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy Hicks of Cambridge City and Corena (Jerry) Marshall of Dublin; 3 brothers, Otho (Marilyn) Fink of Connersville, Bill and Larry Fink of Cambridge City; nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ceber, on November 17, 2000; 1 son, David Moore on September 17, 2009; 1 sister, Ethel Miller; 2 brothers, Raymond and Paul Fink. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday August 22, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Cambridge City. Fr. John Luerman will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. A prayer service will be held a 3:30 p.m. on Friday August 21 with visitation following until 8 p.m. at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.
