DUBLIN- Mary Geneva Mobley, 90, of Dublin passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Sandy on Monday November 16, 2015. A daughter of the late William Christopher and Stella (Turpin) Jones, Geneva was born in Waco, Madison County, Kentucky on April 12, 1925. A homemaker, she has lived in the Cambridge City and Dublin communities for nearly 60 years. In her leisure, she enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She loved her family dearly. Survivors include her children, Mary Ann (Jake) Breeden of Dublin, Helena (companion Herman) Lundy of Rushville, Phyllis Kay (Carlos) Morgan of Dublin, Jane C. (Alan) Briar and Minor Wayne (companion Judy) Mobley both of New Castle and Sandra Lynn (Rick) Sherwood of Cambridge City; 28 grandchildren; multiple great and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Minor Mobley on August 2, 2005. They were married on November 3, 1944 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky; 2 daughters, Myrtle Joan McCullough on February 11, 2015 and Betty S. Boyd on August 11, 2012; 2 grandsons, Gary Lundy and Raymond Smith;2 son in-laws, Joseph "Joe" McCullough and Gary "Buck" Lundy; an infant sister, Nannie Mae; 8 brothers, Roy E., Monroe, Fred, Elmer, Christopher, Ellis B., Russell and Carl. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You" to Geneva's caregivers, Karrisa Fisher and Ally Jarboe. They would also like to express their appreciation to Sandy and Rick for welcoming mom into their home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday November 20, 2015 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home , Dublin. Pastors Brian Justice and Everett Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at the South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday November 19th at the funeral home.
