NEW CASTLE- Mary Jo Laugheed, 88, passed away February 16, 2016 at Hickory Creek of New Castle. A daughter of the late Roy C. and Clarabelle (Mantle) Morehouse, Mary Joe was born in Tippecanoe County, Indiana on January 25, 1928. She was a teacher for over 40 years in Tippecanoe and Benton Counties where she taught Home Economics, Physical Education and Science. Survivors include her children, Charlotte Carpenter of Wayne County, William David Laugheed of Centerville and Kathy Beth Laugheed of Arcadia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert David Laugheed in 1976 and a son, John Robert Laugheed in 2001. Following cremation, a private interment service will be held at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, Indiana.
