Obituary

Mary Marlene Killen, 79, of Centerville, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 24th, 2026, at her home.

Mary was born on February 16, 1947, in Spencer, Michigan. She was a loving, generous and positive wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family, those she loved most. They created countless memories that will be cherished forever. She will always be remembered for her warm heart, smile, gentle presence, and her Faith which carried her through life's joys and hardships. Though her family grieves her loss deeply, they find peace in knowing she is now resting in the arms of the Lord.

Mary married Gary Killen on November 7th, 1981, and they spent 44 blessed years together. They enjoyed camping, boating, country music concerts, and spending time with family and friends.

Mary is survived by her husband Gary Killen; daughters, Molly Hampton (Bill) of Centerville, Indiana and Amy B. Schumann (Bobby) of Laurel, Mississippi; son Bruce Killen (Sherri) of Vienna, West Virginia; grandchildren, Amanda Corder (Travis), Billy Hampton (Shelby), Tabitha Slifer, Brianna Adrion, Nathaniel Schumann (Hannah), and Noah Schumann; great-grandchildren, Colton, Cheyenne, Charlette, Jordan, Adalynn, Savannah, William, Brayden, Brysen, and Kaidyn; sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Terry Johnson; niece, Anna Shiverdecker (Scott), and nephew, Herbert James Potes III (Linda).

Private services will be held for close family and friends with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Dementia Society of America at dementiasociety.org or Help the Animals Shelter at helptheanimalsinc.com.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to Ascera Care Hospice and all their amazing staff for their wonderful care, of not only Mary, but all her family as well.

Mary will be deeply missed, loved and in our hearts forever.
