DUBLIN- Mary Euldean Covey, 83, passed away on Saturday evening December 11, 2010 at the Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle, Indiana. A daughter of the late Peary Earl and Dora E. (Honeycutt) Burchett, Mary was born in Drop, (Clinton County) Kentucky on December 5, 1927. Euldean and her family moved from the Albany, Kentucky area to the Dublin, Indiana community in 1950. Euldean retired from the New Castle State Hospital were she worked as a psychiatric aid for over 20 years. She attended the Straughn Community Chapel and was a member of the Dublin Community Club and the Do- Gooders. Euldean enjoyed doing craftwork and was very skilled in crocheting. She also enjoyed reading and geneology. Survivors include 4 siblings- Jacquita "Jackie" (Jim) Holcomb of Losantville, Icel B. (Shelby) Burchett of Dublin, Sally Ann (Max) Blose of Robinson, Texas and Patsy (Stuart) Mikesell of Greenfield; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands- Merle Smalley and Willie Leo Covey; 1 sister- Olene Brown and 1 brother- Knox Burchett. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday December 15, 2010 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, 1993 Cumberland Street / Dublin, IN 47335. Burial will follow at the South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday December 14 and prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
