DUBLIN- Martha Louise Taylor, 90, passed away Friday April 22, 2016 at the home of her son Kevin in Maysville, N. Carolina. A daughter of the late John H. and Hazel Venora (Wheatley) Thom, Martha was born in Dublin, Indiana on March 24, 1926. A lifelong Dublin resident, Martha attended Dublin School and had worked at Perfect Circle in Hagerstown during World War II. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother and member of the Dublin Gospel Mission Church. Survivors include 3 children, Cathy Coryell of Salisbury, N.C., Karen Sherwood of Archdale, N.C. and Kevin of Maysville, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 1 sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Moistner of Cambridge City; nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her 1st husband, John Haynes on June 22, 1953; 2nd husband, Henry Taylor on January 26, 2004; son, David Haynes on November 3, 2006; grandson, John Henry Haynes; great grandson, Brandon Shook; 2 sisters, Rachel Schockley and Ellen Salmons; an 2 infant sisters, Alta and Donna Thom; 5 brothers, Edwin, John, Paul, Charles and Merrill Thom. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday April 29, 2016 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Pastor Scott Moistner will officiate. Burial will follow at the South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday April 28th and prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.
