David Mark Feemster, 72, passed away Thursday afternoon July 11th, 2024, at his home in Cambridge City, with his loved ones by his side. Mark was born in Richmond, Indiana, to David A. and Ruth (Chapman) Feemster on July 18th, 1951. Mark grew up in Cambridge City, playing catcher on Stewart's little league team and playing football for the Golden Eagles. He was a 10-year member of 4-H, where he showed cattle and horses. While in high school, he was the drummer in the Chicago Sunn Band. After graduating Lincoln High School with the class of 1969, he went to Valentine, Nebraska, to work on a cattle ranch. Returning to Indiana, Mark attended Wabash College where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and graduated in 1973. Mark moved back out West and lived in Arizona for 20 years and returned to Indiana in 2009. Mark was a lifetime member of Zion's Lutheran Church in Pershing, Indiana.
Mark is survived by his sister, Deborah (Mark) Feemster Gettinger; two first-cousins, Daniel (Rick Brown) Yake and Christy (Meredith) Flautt; special extended family, Daisy and Chloe.
Mark was preceded in death by his father on August 23rd, 2021, his mother on November 22nd, 2016; two nephews and one niece, Matt, Adam, and Allison Gettinger; and companion, Judy Baxter.
Funeral services for Mark will be at 11 a.m. Thursday July 18th, 2024, at Zion's Lutheran Church in Pershing- 1151 S. Germantown Rd., Pershing, Indiana 47370. Pastor Clifford Nunn will officiate. Visitation will be at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin, from 4-7:00 p.m. Wednesday July 17th, 2024.
