STRAUGHN- Marilyn Reva Ervin, 73, passed away on Monday morning July 20, 2015 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. A daughter of the late Chelcie and Mary (Landis) Shell, Marilyn was born in Richmond, Indiana on October 29, 1941. A homemaker, she was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She has made her home in the Straughn community for the past 38 years. In her leisure Marilyn enjoyed playing BINGO and scratch-off lottery. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Thomas Ervin, whom she married in Jamestown, Tennessee in October of 1976. 2 sons, Clinton and Danny Ervin; 1 sister, Louise Haler of Cambridge City; 1 brother, Billy (Carol) Chell of S. Carolina; nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Carolyn Lehman, Donnie Shell and Chelcie Shell Jr.. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday July 24, 2015 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday July 23, 2015 at the funeral home.
