East Germantown- Luther Lyndon Sparks, passed away peacefully early on the morning of July 22, 2026. Luther was born May 4th, 1938, in Estill County, Kentucky, a son of the late Taulby and Nannie (Cox) Sparks. Luther married the former Pearl Neal on March 19th, 1960, who survives. For 30+ years Luther owned and operated Sparks Body Shop alongside his son Richard.

Luther is survived by his daughter, Pam Williams-Welch (Tom); his eight grandchildren, Michael (Julie) and Robert Robeson, Krista, Taylor and Madison Sparks, Samantha (Blake) Warner, Ginny Williams and Keaton (Abby) Williams; eight great grandchildren, Ethan and Sophie Warner, Erica and Raymond Abercrombie, John and Billy Robeson, Charlie and Parker Sparks. He is also survived by two brothers, Wheelor (Mildred) Sparks and Eddie Dean Blanton; son in-law, Bill Robeson.

Luther is predeceased by his daughter, Teresa Robeson on December 17, 2025; his son, Richard Sparks on June 2, 2018; five siblings, Jr. Sparks, Berlon Sparks, Don Sparks, Jeannie Russell and Stevie Blanton.

The family would like to thank Reid Hospice for their amazing support over the past six weeks.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Luther will be laid to rest next to Richard and Teresa at the Lutheran Cemetery in East Germantown, Indiana.
