DUBLIN, IN- Lowell Vickers, 77, went to be with our Lord on Sunday morning February 13, 2011 after an extended ilness. Lowell was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on April 5, 1933. He retired in 1996 from AMEDCO Stamping Company in Richmond where he worked as a press operator and was a lifetime member of the Wayne County Coon Hunters Association. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, the former Carolyn Lynch. They were married on August 14, 1959 in McKee, Kentucky.; 2 children, Karen Diane (Vickers) Sorrell of McKee, Kentucky and Lowell Vincent (Rhonda) Vickers of Richmond; 4 grandchildren, Lucas and Jacob Lowery, Dakota & Victoria Vickers; 3 brothers, Delbert (Elzona) Vickers of Pershing, James ( Marilyn) Vickers of Cambridge City and Oscar Vickers of Jackson County, Kentucky; 4 sisters, Faye (Glenn) Reese of McKee, Kentucky, Haley (Virgil) Reese of Beatyville, Kentucky, Imogene Eversole of Gray Hawk, Kentucky and Annalee (Ben) Pennington of Anville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Flora (Fox) Vickers; 2 brothers, Virgil and Dorcie Vickers; 1 sister, Thelma Wright. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m. on Tuesday February 15, 2011 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home- 1993 Cumberland Street / Dublin, Indiana 47335. Rev. Raymond Siggers will officiate. Burial will follow at the South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
