Obituary

Lewisville- Loretta Jeannette McBride, 76, of rural Lewisville, passed away Monday afternoon November 2, 2009 at Flatrock River Lodge in Rushville, Indiana after a lengthy battle with alzhimers disease. A daughter of the late Eddie and Beulah Rains Richey, Loretta was born in New Castle, Indiana on September 11, 1933. A lifelong resident of Henry County, she graduated from the New Castle Chrysler High School. Loretta was a an ordained minister and working along side her husband Merrill was co- founder and co-pastor of the House of Prayer Ministeries. She enjoyed working with women and the youth and was co- founder of the Harvest Ranch Youth Camp at Lewisville. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed all of God's gifts in nature. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Merrill S. McBride. They were married on May 22, 1960 in New Castle. 2 daughters, Andrea (husband David) Miller - Andrea's children; Cassie, Dalton and Cammi of Rushville and Sherie Davey of Lewisville. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. till the time of services at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday November 5, 2009 at the Lewisville House of Prayer- 9630 S. County Road 25 W. / Lewisville, IN 47352. Pastor Gary McCaslin will officiate. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family on Friday November 6 at the Lewisville Cemetery. The Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial Contributions can be made in care of the House of Prayer for use by the Harvest Youth Camp in Loretta's memory.
