MILTON- Linda Lou White, 62, passed away on Wednesday morning June 11, 2014 at her home in rural Milton, Indiana. A daughter of the late Robert and Barbara (Christian) Shank, Linda was born in New Castle, Indiana on September 4, 1951. Linda grew up in Cambridge City and attended Lincoln High School. Linda has lived in the Western Wayne community her entire life, she and her husband, Kenny have lived at their homeplace for the past 39 years. Known as the "Lunch Lady" by many area children, Linda has worked in the cafeteria at Western Wayne Elementary for the past 17 years. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Kenneth Stephen White, whom she married in Hagerstown on June 3, 1972; 1 daughter- Brandi (Michael) Taylor of Centerville; 2 grandchildren, Alexys Marie and Aiden Michael Taylor; step grandson, Austin Jarett Taylor; 4 siblings, Bonnie Rose of Pershing, Frank (Rosie) Shank of New Castle, Beverly (Chad) Corn of Connersville and David Shank of Pershing; aunts, Nancy Shank of Cambridge City, Dorothy of Rushville, Rosie (Richard) Christian of Rushville, Diane Shank of Cambridge City; mother in-law, Janice (Eiser) White of Milton; several nieces and nephews; 2 great-nephews; 3 great-nieces, several cousins. Linda was preceded in death by her father in-law, M. Sherman White; brother in-law, Michael Rose; niece, Shannon Rose. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday June 13, 2014 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Scott Moistner will officiate.
