CAMBRIDGE CITY-  Linda Sue Griffin,79, passed away Saturday morning July 15, 2023 at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville, Indiana.  A daughter of the late Harold and Nellie (Tyra) Frost, Linda was born in Connersville, Indiana on May 17, 1944.  She grew up in the Cambridge City community and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1962.  Linda married the love of her life, John Griffin in Connersville at Calvary Baptist Church on July 13, 1969.  She worked in customer service at Main Source Bank in Cambridge City and retired after 29 years of dedicated service.  Linda enjoyed bowling, being outside, riding bikes and taking walks, but what she loved most was having her family at her house, watching the kids play in the front yard and never missing a sports game or any other activity her granddaughters were participating in. She was a loving and devoted wife, mom and grandma.

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Griffin; son, Scott Griffin; 3 granddaughters, Hannah Smith, Abbey Payne and Sydney Griffin; 3 great grandchildren, Lillian Smith, Claire and Henry Payne; 3 siblings, Ted Frost, Nancy Witham and Pam Cress; nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her daughter in-law, Lori (Williams) Griffin on August 25, 2010 and sister, Judy Mustin on October 3, 2009.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Tuesday July18, 2023 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. Danny Berry will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
