Obituary

Spiceland: Leota Mae Gross, 76, of Spiceland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 23, 2010 in Indianapolis. She was born on July 17, 1933 in Clinton County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Charles "Lit" and Maudie (Wray) Jones. Leota along with her late husband Grant Gross lived in the Spiceland area for over 39 years. She was a homemaker and a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. Surviving relatives include: son, David (Teresa) Gross of Indianapolis, daughter, Ruthanne (Jon) Powless of New Castle, 3 granddaughters, Lisa (Brian) Kuhn of Ohio and Autumn Powless of New Castle and Shannon Gross of Indianapolis, 1 great granddaughter, Layla Kuhn of Ohio, 1 future great grandson, 3 step-grandsons, Jason, Alex and David Skeens of Indianapolis, cousins, Flonnie Lowhorn of New Castle, Thelma Smith and Georgia Tallent both of Albany Ky, 2 very special friends, Coleen Catron and Martha York and many other friends to many to mention. Proceeded in death by, parents, husband, Grant Gross on March 22, 1999, 3 sisters, Lucille Aaron, Ruth Smith and Uldean Witham, 3 brothers, Tom, Denzel and Doyle Jones and 2 infant's siblings. Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday March 26, 2010 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Lewisville, with burial to follow at the Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday March 25, 2010 at the funeral home.
