CAMBRIDGE CITY- Leon Ray Laymon, 69, passed away peacefully on Friday evening February 7, 2014 at Rosebud Village in Richmond, Indiana. A son of the late Riley and Velma (Arnold) Laymon, Leon was born in Henry County, Indiana on July 12, 1944. Prior to moving to Richmond, Leon grew up and lived in the Cambridge City- Dublin communities during his younger years. He had worked for Henderson Applicances and Wickes Building and Construction. Leon was also self employed in the home repair and remodeling business. Leon is survived by 1 brother, Murray Laymon of Richmond. He was preceded in death by his wife Edith R. (Baker) Jennings-Laymon; 1 sister Catherine Hatfield. A private graveside service will be held at the South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin on Wednesday February 12, 2014. Memorial Contributions can be made to the donors favorite charity. The Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
