Obituary

Connersville: Leo G. Burner, 85, of Connersville, passed away Wednesday February 17, 2010 at Fayette Regional Hospital in Connersville. He was born on June 19, 1924 in Dublin, Indiana, the son of the late Charles Albert and Esther Irene (Mustin) Burner. On July 24, 1943 in Grenada, Mississippi he married Rowena Maxine Riebsomer whom preceeds him in death. Leo lived in the Connersville area most all of his lifetime and served his country in World War II with the U.S. Army. In 1986 he retired from Stants Manufacturing in Connersville where he was a Tool & Die Maker. He was a member of the Antique Auto Club in Cape Canaveral Florida and enjoyed golfing, boating and traveling. Surviving relatives include; daughter, Jill Goodson of Port St. John Florida; 2 granddauhters, Angela Ortiz and Amy Dyer both of Port St. John Florida; brother, Robert Burner of Warsaw, IN; 2 sisters, Quelda Meek of Glen Allen, Missouri and Sharon Sullivan of Hagerstown; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; wife Rowena Maxine (Riebsomer) Burner March 11, 2001; 2 children, infant daughter Nancy and toddler Leo Jr.; half-sister, Noma Heinrich. Friends and Family may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m on Saturday February 20, 2010 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial with full military honors will follow at Dale Cemetery in Connersville.
