Obituary

Cambridge City: Lenville Hale, 71, of Cambridge City, passed away on Thursday September 17, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in Richmond. A son of the late Clarence and Frances Stidham Hale, he was born in Kentucky on April 7, 1938. Lenville retired from Ford/Visteon in Connersville, after more than 50 years of service, where he worked as a forklift operator. He enjoyed farming and playing BINGO and loved to watch motocross racing. Survivors include 2 sons- Jason Alan Hale of Cambridge City, Richie (Tarri) Hale of Connersville; 4 stepchildren- Randall Marvin and James Chaplin, Roseanna Pipinos and Chris Basso ; 2 grandchildren- Tyler Hale of Connersville and Allison Hale of Indianapolis; 2 brothers- Bobby and Wigls Hale; 3 sisters- Betty Bever, May Gibbs and Rose Hale. Lenville was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years at the time of her death on May 12, 2000- the former Ida "Dolly" Penrose; son- Timothy Alan Hale on March 1, 1997; stepson- Phillip Smith on March 5, 1997; brother- Delmas Hale. Visitation will be from noon till the time of services at 2 p.m. on Monday September 21, 2009 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. Danny Berry will officiate. Burial will follow at the Zion's Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing.
