Larry Huntsman, 71, of Dublin, Indiana, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of quiet kindness, steady work, and deep devotion to the simple joys of life.

Larry spent many years working as a custodian, a role he took pride in—especially when summer came around and he could be outside helping mow the school grounds he cared so much about. He loved being outdoors, and he found peace and purpose in tending to the land.

A true fan of puzzles, Larry could often be found working through a crossword. He was a lifelong sports enthusiast, cheering on IU Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds with unwavering loyalty. And when it came to music, few things made him smile more than the songs of The Beatles, whose lyrics were often the soundtrack to his days.

Larry is survived by his loving son, Kyle Huntsman of Rushville, IN; his sisters Patty Setser of Dublin and Peggy Lawyer of Pendleton; and his brother Mike (Loretta) Huntsman of Richmond. Larry had several nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews that he loved dearly but would often tell, "Now, go sit down". He will be remembered fondly by his family and friends for his gentle spirit, his quick wit, and his deep love of the familiar comforts that made his world feel like home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marcella Huntsman, his stepmother, Mother Lois Huntsman, his stepson, Chris, and his best friend, Dick Setser.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday May 28, 2025 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.  Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday May27th.
