NEW CASTLE- Larry Allen Engle, 70, passed away early Thursday morning May 13, 2021 at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Larry was born in New Lisbon, Indiana on April 12, 1951.  He was raised in Spiceland and was a lifelong resident of Henry County.  Larry was employed by Draper Shade in Spiceland and retired in January of 2015 after 39 years of service.  His greatest source of pride and enjoyment came from his grandkids.  He loved spending time with them and the rest of his family.  In his leisure, Larry did wood working, spent time in the yard, gardening and enjoyed going fishing.

Survivors include his wife of nearly ten years, the former Anita L. Query.  They were married in Spiceland on June 18, 2011; 3 sons, Randy (Ro-Anne Royer) Engle, Tony (Teresa) Engle and Gary (Amy) Engle; 2 stepsons, Jeff (Shyron Sturgill) Limburg and Josh Bowlin- deceased; grandchildren, Megan (Carlos) Carrion, Hayley (Cody Rice) Engle, Rahissa (Brandon) Winningham, Caleb (Lis Mahoney) Engle, Kelsey (Grant) McGinnis, Morgan (Kaiser) Phillips, Alyssa (Evan Adams) Engle, Mason (Maggie Richardson) Johnson and Jabez Engle; great grandchildren, Bentley Allen Engle, Noble and Piper Phillips, Elena Sturgill, and Gracee Carrion; mother, Ermile Meek; siblings, Karen Garner, Kay (Martin- deceased) Jones, Jim (Kim) Engle and Roger (Susan) Engle; former wife, Jeanie Engle; sister in-law, Donita (Derek) Davis; father in-law, Don (Bobbie) Query; mother in-law, Linda Lair; brother in-law, Donnie (Gina) Query.

Visitation will be at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel, from 2 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 6 p.m. on Monday May 17, 2021.  Pastor Allen Polston will officiate.  Cremation will follow.
