Knightstown- Kevin Scott Perkins Sr., 45, passed away in New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday June 26, 2010. Kevin was born in New Castle, Indiana on May on May 10, 1965. He lived most of his life in the Knightstown community and attended school there. Kevin worked as a plumber and was employed by Stearn's Construction Company of Knightstown for many years. He had served in the Indiana National Guard and had moved to Louisiana 3 years ago. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping and swimming, listening to music and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include 3 children- Shawna Marie Perkins of New Castle, Janelle Ann Perkins of Knightstown and Kevin Scott Perkins Jr. of Charlottesville; mother- Helen S. (Mitchell) Davis of Muncie; 2 granddaughters- Shiann and Kelsie Isenhour; 2 sisters- Linda S. Smith of New Castle, Michelle D. Chambers of Muncie ; 1 brother- Brent A. Perkins of Spiceland; maternal grandmother- Ruth L. Mitchell of Spiceland. Kevin was preceded in death by his father- Brent Perkins; infant daughter- Jessica Sue; brother- Brent Hobert Perkins; maternal grandfather- Hobert Mitchell; paternal grandparents- Henry and Julie (Garland) Perkins. Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 1 - 3 p.m. on Saturday July 3, 2010 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at the Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland.
